1 You list the documents once

2 Your client gets one secure link

3 Your board shows who’s ready

Sound familiar?

The work isn’t the hard part. Getting the documents is.

The same follow-up, every month

Same clients, same missing statements, same “just checking in” email.

“I already sent it”

Somewhere in a thread, from a colleague’s inbox, or for the wrong month.

No clear view of who’s ready

You find out by searching inboxes and folders, one client at a time.

The cost of doing it by hand

How many hours a year do you spend asking for paperwork?

Adjust the numbers to match your firm. The estimate updates as you go.

Clients you collect from each month Count the ones you chase most months.
Follow-ups per client, per month Emails, calls and texts asking for something.
Minutes each follow-up takes Writing it, reading the reply, finding and filing the file.
Your estimate
40 hours a year

About 3.3 hours every month, or 5 working days a year spent asking for paperwork.

20 clients × 2 follow-ups × 5 min × 12 months

TidyClose sends the requests and follow-ups for you. You still check what arrives, so some of this time stays — but the chasing doesn’t.

How it works

Set each client up once. The follow-ups run themselves.

01 · Set up

List what you need, with a clear description.

“Business checking · Wells Fargo · Ending 8120”, so nobody has to guess. Monthly, or a one-time request.

02 · Request and remind

One link goes out from your firm. Reminders follow.

Choose Gentle, Standard or Frequent. Reminders cover only what’s missing and stop when everything is in.

03 · Close

See who’s ready. Download it all at once.

Wrong file? Mark it Needs fix with a short note. When a client is ready, download everything as one ZIP.

For your clients

Nothing to sign up for. Three simple choices.

No account, no password, no app. Everyone at the business can use the same link and sees the same checklist.

No activity

What we’re committing to

A small tool, built to a few firm promises.

TidyClose is in development for small bookkeeping firms. These are the rules it’s being built to.

It does one job

Requesting, collecting, following up on and tracking documents. Not a CRM, not practice management, not accounting software.

Your clients’ files stay private

Only your firm can open them. Clients can upload but never download, and your sign-in always uses two-step verification.

It doesn’t keep files

Files are deleted within 90 days after the request is complete, and never kept more than 180 days after upload.

Questions

The honest answers.

Something else on your mind? Join the waitlist and reply to the email when it arrives.

That’s the design goal: nothing to install or sign up for. They open one link, see the few documents still needed, and tap Upload. If they have nothing to send, or they’re stuck, there’s a single button for that too.

You add a client, their email and the documents you need from them — once. After that, requests and reminders go out on the schedule you choose. There’s no template builder or workflow to configure.

Each link is long, random and checked on every visit. It stops working when the request is complete, and after 45 days at most. Only your firm can open the files, and they’re deleted within 90 days after the request is complete, never kept more than 180 days after upload.

No. TidyClose only replaces the chasing. Download the files and keep using your accounting software, storage and email exactly as you do now.

Pricing isn’t final yet. It will be one simple monthly price for your firm, with no per-seat fees. Joining the waitlist is free and doesn’t commit you to anything — you’ll see the price before you decide.

Make next month-end the last one you chase by hand.

Join the waitlist and we’ll email you when early access opens.
